FEBRUARY 2003 CLONE WARS NEWS

 

First off, JEDI: MACE WINDU and REPUBLIC #50 hit stores today.  Included in the comics was a timeline.  Although it was not as comprehensive as mine, it did clear up some things.  Notice Republic #49 is now set at "Month of Attack of the Clones" instead of a month later as I had it before.

In other news, Chris Cerasi, an editor for LucasBooks, announced today on the Official Site's message board that the November 2004 Clone Wars novel, JEDI TRIAL, by David Sherman and Dan Cragg will focus on Anakin Skywalker.

February 20: Clone Wars Animated Series : It's now OFFICIAL!!!

Picking up where Episode II left off, the saga of the Clone Wars will continue through animated shorts premiering this year from the Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars: Clone Wars will be a series of 20 animated shorts that will air on the Cartoon Network in 2003-2004 between other programming.

Helming this new series is Genndy Tartakovsky, the acclaimed creator of "Samurai Jack" and "Dexter's Laboratory." The episodic shorts will be two- to three-minutes in length and will air exclusively on Cartoon Network at regularly scheduled times beginning this fall....

February 7: REPUBLIC #54 Update / Clone Wars Vol. 1 TPB

The Official Site updated with cover art and story synopsis for REPUBLIC #54.  Also, announced was STAR WARS: CLONE WARS Vol. 1: THE DEFENSE OF KAMINO, which collects REPUBLIC #49-50 and JEDI: MACE WINDU.  It's slated for a June 18 release date.
