April 16th , 2004: A whole lotta news...

A while back we first learned that Del Ray would be publishing a two part series of Clone Wars novels written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry called The Medstar Duology. Starwars.com gave us a look at the first part, titled Battle Surgeons last december, and now we get a look at part 2, Jedi Healer. To view the cover and read a small summary of the plot head on over here. Gentle Giant has produced some incredibly life-like mini-busts mainly focusing on characters from Episode 2 while doing a few based on character from the Classic Star Wars Trilogy, and now they're going to produce several maquettes based on characters as they appear in the Clone Wars animated shorts, in fact the first two maquettes are available for preorder right now here! For more information head on here to read Starwars.com's report. Now that we have all that out of the way, it's time to get to the good stuff. Darkhorse.com recently posted a preview of Republic #64, which features among other things, Captain Pellaeon. Written by John Ostrander with a cover by Thomås Giorello, and pencils by Brandon Badeaux, Republic #64 is scheduled for release on April 28. To view the preview, head on over here. In other comics related news, Galactic Hunter has acquired some information and covers for Darkhorse's July comics, including Republic #67, head on over here to check that out, and while you're at it, you may want to check out this as well. And that'll do it for now. Be sure to check out Clone Wars season 2 reviews if you havn't, and to discuss the Clone Wars and much much more register at The Galactic Senate!
