[Webmaster's note: We plan to have an section on this site totally devoted to the CWAS once we unveil our new (and final) layout, but until then enjoy this update.]

The Clone Wars Animates Series is fastly approaching and the buzz for the show is at high pitch. There has been talk of an online video game of the micro-series called PLANETARY FORCES (poster courtesy of TFN.), action figures, and currently, there are episode summaries available for the first season. Cartoon Network is even running a short teaser for the series. Kudos to TFN for running these stories first. Here's all those materials ready for hungry Clone Wars fans:

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker lead the Army of the Republic in an assault on Muunilinist while other Jedi prepare for their attack.

2. The assault on Muunilist begins. The fleet is attacked immediately as they come out of hyperspace. Giant troop carriers and equipment haulers land on the planet surface and begin deploying troops and artillery.

3. The battle rages on in the air and on the ground. The Arc Troopers, who are cut off from their initial drop zone, make their way to the enemy command centre through hostile territory.

4. With the Republic gaining the upper hand, Droid Army leader San Hill dispatches Durge and his mercenaries to strike the command centre of the Republic Forces.

5. Jedi Master Kit Fisto leads an ambitious assault against Separatist forces on the water planet of Mon Calamari.

September 21, 2003: REPUBLIC #59 Preview at Darkhorse.com...

[ REPUBLIC #59 : ENEMY LINES ]Dark Horse has posted a 5-page black and white preview of REPUBLIC #59 : ENEMY LINES on their official website. Check it out at this link while it's still there. Here's a summary from the site:

In the aftermath of a battle on the desert moon of Aargonar, Anakin Skywalker finds himself stranded behind enemy lines with the last person in the galaxy that he wants to be with: fellow Jedi A'Sharad Hett -- from a Tusken Raider clan on their native Tatooine. For Anakin, their struggle to make it back to the Republic's lines also becomes a test of whether he can control his hatred of the Tuskens -- and whether or not he can keep the shameful secret of his murder of the Tusken tribe...

Thanks to Sabrina Fried at TBSWU for the heads up!

September 16, 2003: JEDI: DOOKU details from Jan Duursema...

[ JEDI: DOOKU ]I was browsing this evening and I came across Jan Duursema's message board on her site. She had a few interesting things to say about the upcoming JEDI: DOOKU:

  • Dooku duels another Jedi
  • Asajj Ventress is not in the issue
  • We see a touch of Form II of Vaapad
  • The Jedi in the issue include: Quin, Tholme, Mace, Jeisel, Tsui Choi, Kai Justiss and 3 new Jedi

She caps the tidbits off by saying that she and Dan Parsons "are using some different pencil, ink and wash techniques on this issue. Brad Anderson says he can't wait to color it. John wrote a really cool story--very dark and chilling. Dooku is the spider at the center of the web."

Very cool! Can't wait to read it!

September 14, 2003: BOBA FETT: HUNTED hits stores and Elizabeth Hand answers questions from the fans...

BOBA FETT: HUNTEDThe fourth book in the BOBA FETT series entitled HUNTED has started arriving in bookstores nation wide. It, like the others in the series, retails at $4.99+tax. The book, by author Elizabeth Hand, has 153 pages, 27 chapters, and includes a Clone Wars Timeline. Here's the printed text on the back cover:

On the barren planet of Tatooine, young Boba Fett is surrounded by criminals, mercenaries, and thieves. In his quest to become a bounty hunter, he is searching out the greatest crime lord of all - Jabba the Hutt.

But Jabba the Hutt is not easily found...or easily impressed. When Boba finally tracks down the crime lord, Jabba has an offer for him: one assignment, one chance. He must capture a deadly bounty...or else.

It is the biggest test Boba Fett has ever faced-one that will determine his future.

Check out Boba's Mission to Tatooine for more info. A review is forthcoming.

Also, Star Wars Kids recently posted Elizabeth Hand's responses to reader's questions. In the Q&A, Hand says that there are 6 BOBA FETT novels planned as of now. She's penned 3 and 4 and I'm assuming she's writing 5 and 6 as well. You can view the entire Q&A by clicking here.
