August 18: Joe Corroney Interview, EPISODE III characters in Insider #71, REPUBLIC #60, and more on the JEDI: YODA fan comic!

[Webmaster's Note: This news update is a bit dated due to my busy schedule, but I still see a need to post it. Also, look out for scans of the Comic-Con 2003 Exclusive CWAS Sketchbook to be hosted here on TCWUS in the near future. Enjoy!]

[ Joe Corroney ]Accomplished STAR WARS artist Joe Corroney recently took time to answer a few of our questions. Joe has drawn for several STAR WARS outlets including HoloNet News, STAR WARS Insider and Gamer and several Source Books. Read the full interview here. Also, be sure to check out his official site at JoeCorroney.com.

Joe also posted some interesting tidbits regarding Insider #71 and EPISODE III! He says we should be on the look out for the FIRST appearances of characters from the final installation of STAR WARS films soon! That issue should be shipping in early October 2003.

[ REPUBLIC #60 ]Starwars.com recently updated with cover art and a synopsis for REPUBLIC #60. This issue marks a departure from the BATTLE OF JABIIM story arc and the return of Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress. It's by the Blackman/Ching duo so it should be a good one. Our timeline has been updated with this new cover and synopsis.

Touching on the previous news byte on the fan comic JEDI: YODA (see below), we have a short article on the evolution of the comic by the author, Paul Myers. Check it out here.
