Republic #66: Show of Force Part 2

Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Script: John Ostrander
Art: Jan Duursema

Reviewed by Andrew Liptak

Summary: Picking right up after Republic 65: Show of Force, left off, this one picks up with the Jedi taking down the station. After that, the Jedi find that there is more to the plot than they had suspected, and that there's plenty more that they don't know.

What Worked: Where the first issue was a little scattered in the beginning, this one is direct and to the point until the end, where we see a little of the same formula. The Jedi take down the bounty hunters, all over the station, in order to get rid of the bounties. There is a ton of action here, and done to the wonderful Jan Duursema artwork that we all love. We see a couple cameos of Quinlan Vos and Depa Billaba, which is outstanding and good to see.

What Didn't Work: While the first one was excellent, it set a high bar, which this one didn't quite live up to. I noticed a couple of lines that were repeated from issue to issue, which was a little distracting.

Overall, The exciting conclusion to Show of Force, and an excellent addition to the Clone Wars series.

Rating: 9/10
