Publisher: Dark Horse Comics Reviewed by Andrew Liptak
Summary: One month after the battle of Geonosis, Quinlan Vos has used his spy networks to intercept a datadisk with Separatist battle plans for a future invasion of Kamino, the Republic's source of clones. Aayla Secura, who arrived on station to find out what happened to him, joined him after he broke off contact. After stealing the disk and making a copy, they attempted to give the disk back, but ended up killing the Faleen who tried to get it and kill them. The disk was later passed on to the correct party.
What worked: For those of you who like action, there is plenty to go around with this issue. There's some lightsaber work, blasters and work tools in the mix with some dynamic scenes. Like the rest of their issues, Ostrander, Duursema, and Parsons have done an excellent job packing everything into their panels, and getting the story across. The art is pretty amazing in this issue, from the work with colors and shadows, but also the angles of the subjects gives the story a very good feel. The story goes along well, and is excellently paced. Ostrander brings in many interesting characters, as well as some familiar ones. Aayla Secura and Quinlan Vos are two, but Yoda and Mace Windu also have their appearances.
What didn't work: Not much here, but the story is left hanging for the next issue, when Kamino is actually invaded. Other than that, nothing is really wrong with this issue.
Overall, an excellent read, which brings you into the start of the Clone Wars, with a good story, action and art. Rating: 9/10
