Summary: Quinlan Vos had apparently defected to the Confederation. A troop transport was attacked, it's Clones killed, but the Jedi are released by Count Dooku. Quinlan waited for Count Dooku, dueled with two of Dooku's henchmen until he was allowed to see the Count. Dooku agrees to test him and to train him. In the mean time, Jedi Master Tholme releases Khaleen Hentz from her holding cell so that she can act as a contact for Quinlan during his stay with Dooku. Dooku gives Quinlan lightsaber lessons, trying to find out what he has learned. During this time, he also takes him along with him on several 'recruiting' missions to gain allies. On Tibrin, Quinlan recommended that the current leader be killed, allowing Dooku to gain yet another ally. Dooku gave Quinlan another mission: kill a senator milking both sides. Shortly after that, Quinlan met with Khaleen, establishing contact and having a romantic moment of they're own. Quinlan went on his mission, sparing the senator's life, but scaring him into Dooku's side. When he returned, Dooku was torturing Jedi Master Shylar, who recognized him and pronounced him as a traitor. Quinlan talked to Khaleen later on, regretting that he could do nothing for Shylar, without blowing his cover. Khaleen reported back to Tholme once again, reporting that the darksiders were headed for Kiffu to seek allies. Quinlan returned to his homeworld with Dooku and his other two darksiders, and tried to negotiate a treaty. The leader, Sheyf Tinte rebuffed them, and they moved to kill her soldiers. Quinlan fought alongside the darksiders, but took Tinte, and tried to warn her, but Dooku found that Quinlan was a double agent, and told him to search Tinte's mind. There, he found that Tinte had murdered his family. Quinlan killed her, and went to the dark side, no longer a double agent.
What Worked: This issue rocked, and was a fitting end to the Jedi comic arc. Everything that Jan and John have done with Quinlan in the Clone Wars and earlier have been leading up to this moment. Quinlan had finally infiltrated Dooku's organization, and answered the question: can he do so without becoming the monster? The answer is no. This story is very dark and foreboding, and shows just what the Jedi are up against.
What Didn't Work: Nothing to add here.
