Before the Clone Wars…

Apprenticed to Mace Windu, Depa Billaba was found by Windu after pirates killed her parents. He trained her as his Padawan. She eventually became a Jedi Knight, and later, one of the youngest Jedi on the Jedi Council.

During the Clone Wars…

Month of the Battle of Geonosis: Was at the Jedi Temple caring for the Younglings in place of Master Yoda during the Battle of Geonosis. More info at starwars.com.

Month 6 ABG: After the Clone Wars broke out, Mace Windu sent Depa to Haruun Kal, a strategic system in the Gevarno Loop, which connects several Separatist systems together. There, she was in charge of training the jungle forces in resistance tactics for four months. However, once the Separatists moved off planet, Depa remained out of contact with the Jedi Council. When a holorecording showed up, implicating Depa and the torture and murder of civilians, Windu set out for Haruun Kal, to arrest or kill her. While on the jungle planet, Depa found that the ongoing war split her mission and knighthood. Death was an everyday occurrence and she started to slip towards the dark side of the force under the darkness of the jungle. When Windu arrived to bring her back, she was reluctant, but when the Republic forces arrived and a battle began, she fell to the dark side temporarily, nearly killing Windu, and then fell into a coma.

After the Clone Wars…
