The Battle of Honoghr

Key Characters

Rii'ke En, Aayla Secura, Bly, Quinlan Vos

Setting the Stage

The Seperatists ship carrying the toxin was intercepted above Honoghr by a Republic ship, both of them crashing and continuing the battle as they entered the atmosphere. The Republic ship manages to climb back to space, damaged, while the Seperatist ship smashes into the jungle. Most of crew of both ships evacuated before the battle was won. The toxin leaks out, and the Noghri search the wreck for treasures, finding the Scientific Instrument Package (SIP) for the 1138 toxin.

A Jedi, Master Rii'le En is sent to Honogrh with one Clone trooper to scout out the situation and report back for intel on the toxin. He discovers that the Noghri have taken the SIP to an old Rakata temple, they believe the Rakata to be gods and the temple is held as a common ground for all clans. General En sends a message out about the location of the SIP, and Aayla Secura recieves it. She responds to his call, but arrives after he had been spotted by the Noghri. He had no chance.

The Battle

Aalya and a squad of troopers arrives, lead by the ARC-trained Clone Commander, Bly. They approach the temple and are attacked in the open area, they retreat into the temple quickly -- with only Aayla and Bly surviving. They would have been killed too, if it wasn't for Quinlan. He appears, picking off the Noghri from afar with a blaster. Aayla and Quinlan converse, Aayla explaining that she knows of his mission to infiltrate the Confederacy and how many believe he has truely fallen. She trusts him, believing him to still be working for the Republic, and as a sign of his own trust he agrees to help her get the SIP, so she can take it back to the Republic. He in turn will report to Dooku that he arrived too late to recover the information. Bly has objections, knowing that in public records Quinlan is considered an enemy of the Republic. He follows Aayla's commands however, and they continue on.

Bly has a monolouge, explaining how he doesn't trust Vos, and knows that if he were Jango Fett, he would have just killed him and been done with it. He comes to the conclusion that all armor has flaws, as his own helmet was damaged in the fighting earlier.

The three move on toward the vault where the SIP is being held, and along the way are ambushed again by Noghri. They manage to take them out, and Quinlan kills an injured warrior. Aalya is shocked at this, but Bly is surprised to find him agreeing with Quinlan's excuse for the death, explaining that the warrior could have crawled away and told others about their whereabouts.

Vos uses his skills to read off of the vault door that it is booby trapped to shoot poison hyperdarts if the door is opened. Thus, they must move quickly, and as Vos opens the door Aayla calls the SIP to her hand with the Force. There is a problem however, as Quinlan doesn't know how to close the door, and they have to retreat through a hail of flying darts. Bly mentions how the Force is the clearly Jedi's armor.

They exit the temple through the way Quin came in, only to find a cliff into the swamp. Quin's ship is there, and he demands the SIP from Aayla. He has to recover it, he explains, he walks a fine line of trust with Dooku. Aalya accuses him of using her and of lieing, as she had sensed he might do but had hoped against, and she refuses to give him the SIP. Quinlan argues that he is still on the side of the Republic, but that he needs more trust with Dooku if he is to determin the identity of the second Sith Lord. Bly is knocked aside by Quinlan early on in the fight and the duel rages on. Eventually Quinlan gets the upper hand and disarms his former Padawan. He uses the raw power of the Dark Side to force her down. He threatens to kill her if she does not hand over the SIP. She tries to reason with him, outlining how clearly he has fallen to the Dark Side, which Quinlan himself hasn't seemed to have noticed. He becomes rageful and Aayla tells him that he truely will have to kill her if he wants the SIP. And not for the Republic's sake, but for Quin's own.

Quin is about to relent to her when Bly regains his thoughts and shoots Quin in the shoulder. He fires again and Aalya blocks the shots, allowing Quinlan the chance to escape onto his ship and fly away. Bly and Aayla return to the Republic with the SIP, sucessful. Despite their sucess, Aayla acts as if they had failed. And Bly concludes that her connection to Quinlan is the flaw in her armor. But he also mentions that he doesn't really understand, and that he just follows orders as best he can. And maybe that's the flaw in his armor, that he can't comprehend everything, but fighting and following commands works for him.

Outcome

Rii'ke En is killed. The planet Honoghr is totally devastated, leaving them vulnerable to manipulation by those who promise to rebuild their world.

The Mission to Dagro Part 1

Key Characters

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kirlan Swens, Kit Swens, Zizzy Swans, Anakin Skywalker, Task Force Commander Fivvic, Trissa Swens, Hanco

Setting the Stage

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin were attached to a task force that was searching for Separatist soldiers on the planet Dagro, a small, out of the way planet that was mainly agriculture. While Anakin lead some forces into a small battle on another planet in the same area, Obi-Wan went ahead with a scout ship to search Dagro for droids.

The Battle

As Obi-Wan flew in, he was attacked by three battle droids riding on STAPs. While he shot down all the aircraft, his ship was damaged and shot down. When he came to, members of the Swens family, a farming family that lived nearby, had rescued him. When he arrived at their home, he was forced to hide when more droids came looking. While they weren't happy to have a Jedi in the area, or the war, they were willing to hide him. In payment, Obi-Wan helped them out with their farm for a couple days. Several times, STAPs flew by overhead, but he was not detected. On the fourth day, the farm was visited by 25 battle droids, who were tasked to bring the Jedi in. They had detected changes in the Swen family's routine, and reacted accordingly. Obi-Wan stepped in to engage the droids, when Anakin Skywalker, who had to wait for four days while his fighter was repaired, flew down in his fighter, destroying some of the droids. Obi-Wan took care of the rest.

Outcome

After the first engagement, they realized that there would have had to have been a controller around on the planet nearby to have tracked Obi-Wan. They then set out to find the base.

The Mission to Dagro Part 2

Key Characters

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kirlan Swens, Kit Swens, Zizzy Swans, Anakin Skywalker, Task Force Commander Fivvic, Trissa Swens, Hanco, unnamed Nemoidians

Setting the Stage

Task Force Commander Fivvic and his team flew away, leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker at the Swens family barn. The two Jedi needed to find a way to get to the secret Confederacy base. The base was located in a gorge where a white-water river ran in between two cliffs. They ruled out flying in or rappelling down because the enemy would see them coming. The two Jedi decided to take Trissa Swens’ suggestion and fasten their cables above the entrance to the gorge, hold on, and let the river current carry them downstream in what Trissa called “underwater rappelling”.

The Battle

As Obi-Wan and Anakin rappelled down the river they noticed a sensor up ahead. Obi-Wan was prepared. He had grabbed a few leaves off of a tree before they started. When they got near the sensor he used the force to float the leaves in front of the sensor long enough to slip by unnoticed. When the two Jedi found the base they snuck around to the back and jumped in through a window and then onto a catwalk. Inside they found a dozen Nemoidians gathered around what appeared to be a large mat. There were also a lot of worker droids working at assembly tables and consoles. Then they noticed R3, Obi-Wan’s droid that had been stolen out of the wreckage of his ship. Anakin jumped down to get the droid and use it to get data from the base’s computer. When one of the Nemoidians started toward Anakin, Obi-Wan leaped down and threatened them. Surprisingly the Nemoidians stood their ground. Suddenly the mat split open and 100 small objects flew out. Obi-Wan quickly sprang into action, using his lightsaber to defend himself from the little droids. The druids, though small, packed a powerful punch, including bolts of electricity and a spray of green acid. Anakin jumped into the fray just in time to block some druids from hurting Obi-Wan. Anakin told Obi-Wan that R3 was pulling the data off the computer as they fought. Seeing the Jedi dispatching their druids the Nemoidians decided to flee. A lot of intense fighting later all the druids had been destroyed. Obi-Wan fashioned a boat out of the mat that had contained the druids and he, Anakin, and R3 made to leave. As they floated away, Obi-Wan slashed one of the pillars causing some damage to the base’s structure. Several STAPs bore down on them. The two Jedi began deflecting the bolts. Instead of deflecting the bolts back at the droids, Anakin instead deflected the bolts toward a power generator. When the generator blew, the STAPs careened out of control and a large chunk of the base collapsed into the river. Upon returning to the farm, the two Jedi told the villagers about the “Crawl-Carriers”. Unfortunately Obi-Wan and Anakin had discovered that a “Crawl-Carrier” was hidden somewhere among the farms. The villagers, even Hanco who hadn’t given Obi-Wan the warmest reception originally, agreed to help destroy it. Together they came up with a plan. When the “Crawl-Carrier” was found they were ready. Four harvesters manned by the local villagers, and Anakin, surrounded the camouflaged carrier. Then with a few quick slashes Obi-Wan cut the latches to the bins on the sides of the harvesters releasing loads of gravel that completely crushed the Confederacy’s weapon. Obi-Wan called for an analysis team to study the remains of the carrier. Then he informed the villagers of the really good news: they would all receive reward money for discovering new Confederacy technology. The people were very grateful left the incident with a newfound respect for the Jedi.

Outcome

The Confederacy base on Dagro is all but destroyed. The “Crawl-Carriers” are destroyed. The people of Dagro receive reward money for their part and are grateful to Obi-Wan and Anakin for everything they did.
