The Occupation of Aargau

Key Characters

Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, Nuri, San Hill, Hev'sin, Bib Fortuna

Setting the Stage

Aurra Sing lands the Slave 1 in a hanger in the top level of the huge archeology on Aargau. Jango Fett had his fortune stored there. Aurra needed Boba to get it because only his DNA and retinal scan would work. Aurra was blackmailing Boba into splitting the credits 50/50 with her, and she promised to give him Slave 1 back. Aurra finds the coordinates to Aargau in Slave 1's computer. Aargau is in the Republic, but is a neutral planet.

The Occupation

Boba and Aurra walk to the check in. Aurra hands the attendant Boba's card. He is going to let them through until he notices that Sing is armed. He tells her he must confiscate her weapons because citizens can be armed, but no one else. She reluctantly agrees to stow her weapons in the Slave 1 and a group of clone troopers escort her. While no one is looking, Boba grabs his card and heads for the nearest turbolift. On it, he meets up with a clone about his age who tells him that Separatists are rumored to be on the planet. When the lift stops, Aurra is there waiting. While she and a throng of others cram into the lift Boba ducks out losing her again.

Boba catches another lift and arrives at the level with the banks. Looking at hundreds of banking centers, Boba is lost as to which is the right one. Just then, a Bimm called Nuri asked if he needed help. He was reluctant to come, but then Aurra showed up again and he followed Nuri into a secret passage that took them to a lift. The lift led down to the dangerous Under City. A Bothan named Hev'sin who knew Nuri told him that San Hill, the head of the Banking Clan and a Separatist, was on Aargau to raise credits for the Separatists. Nuri led Boba too an illegal money vendor. There, he double crossed Boba and stole 500.000 of his credits before Boba was able to stop him.  Nuri turned out to be a Clawdite changeling and a rival of Aurra's.  He left saying that he respected Boba.

Boba wandered around until he saw Bib Fortuna, Jabba the Hutt's Twi'lek servant. He followed Bib hoping to find Jabba (in Boba's book, Jango instructed him to seek Jabba for knowledge.) Disguising himself as a Jawa, he snuck into a Hutt casino. When his disguise was compromised, he hid under a table. Then Aurra Sing showed up. She was about to find him when he discovered a trap door. Wandering in secret passages, Boba overheard San Hill negotiating with a nephew of Jabba. He wandered some more. This time he was found by a member of the Banking Clan who thought he was Nuri. He convinced the man to take him back to the banking level in exchange for information. He told the man that Dooku is Tyranus. Boba was about to exit the speeder they were in, when Aurra shows up yet again (does she ever quit?!). Boba takes the controls and tries to lose her, but she has weapons now. Realizing he shouldn't have told Dooku's secret, he maneuvers the man right into the line of fire. Boba manages to lose Sing long enough to get to the Bank of Kuat, which he found out from Nuri is the right one. He tells the bank guards that Sing has illegal weapons and they arrest her. With the money that was left, Boba refitted his ship. As he piloted the Slave 1 out of Aargau, he punched in coordinates for Tatooine.

Eight months later, the clone troopers are still occupying Aargau. The Banking Clan is not happy about the continued occupation. The Republic claims that they traced evidence of the Hailfire Droid's origin to Aargau but they have found no proof of any such factory.

Note: The Republic troops probably began occupying Aargau 3 weeks prior to Aurra and Boba's arrival on the planet.

Outcome

Aurra Sing is captured by Aargau Police. Boba heads to Tatooine in search of Jabba the Hutt. A battalion of clones troopers continue to occupy Aargau.

Boba's Mission to Tatoooine

Key Characters

Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt, Durge, Gilramos Libkath, Bib Fortuna, Ygabba Hise, Murzz, Kurjj, Estral, Gab'borah Hise

Setting the Stage

Boba was on his way to Tatooine in the Slave 1 in search of Jabba the Hutt. He arrived and landed on Mentis Qinx's spaceport. Qinx's droid maked arrangements for the Slave 1 to be repaired and refueled. Boba then went off to find Jabba.

The Mission

Boba made his way into a cantina and ran into 2000-year-old bounty hunter Durge. Durge hates Madalorians and noticed Boba with Jango's helmet on his head. Durge attacked Boba, but Boba escaped. He then fell down outside of the cantina and lost his helmet. A young girl picked it up and ran off. Boba gave chase.

He finally tracked down the girl, whose name is Ygabba, but got ambushed by a group of kids. Murzz, another kid working with Ygabba, helped her take Boba's book with his father's advice in it as well. She is a part of a group of street children that pilfers goods to survive. They work for Master Libkath, a Neimoidian exile. Libkath kept the children under control by using special devices implanted in their hands that release toxins in the body if the children left the planet.

Libkath contacted the children via hologram telling them they must steal a shipment of weapons that is coming in soon near a moisture farm near Bestine. Boba eventually convinced Ygabba to give him his helmet and book back and went off to find Jabba. There was a pod race going on that day and Boba would find Jabba there. An Etti gamemaster named Estral and a guard named Kurjj gave Boba a hard time, but finally brought him to Jabba. Jabba told Boba to predict who would win the race and he would then give him a job. Boba told Jabba that who ever he, Jabba, wanted to win the race would win. Jabba was impressed and told Boba to meet him at his palace to find out details on the job assignment. Bib Fortuna, Jabba's majordomo, directed Boba to board a sail barge going to Jabba's palace.

Boba meet a old dessert chef named Gab'borah Hise on the barge. He was nice to Boba and gave him advice. Gab'borah said if Boba wanted to find him later, he'd be in the seventh kitchen. Boba slept for a while when he woke up they had arrived to Jabba's palace.

He made his way to Jabba's throne room and saw Durge there. Durge, of course, wanted to kill Boba immediately and he went after the young bounty hunter again. Boba dodged again, but in the skirmish his helmet fell off revealing that he was just a kid. Everyone laughed but Boba was not flustered. Jabba would not let Durge kill Boba, but instead sent Durge to the pits to fight some combat arachnids. When Durge finished he went after Boba. Boba would have to capture Gilramos Libkath as his first bounty (however, Boba did not have any weapons and Jabba wasn't giving him any either). Libkath stole weapons shipments from Jabba and sold them to the Separatists. Jabba wanted Libkath and his followers dead. Libkath has managed to elude capture from no less than 3 previous bounty hunters Jabba sent after him. Boba went to collect the bounty because he knew exactly how to find Libkath.

Durge made quick work of the combat arachnids and followed Boba. Boba found the seventh kitchen and ran into Gab'borah again. The old man gave Boba an old jet pack to help him escape Durge.

Boba stowed away on a cargo skiff for the journey to Mos Espa. Durge was still able to follow Boba, but Boba managed to lose him for a while. Boba figured out that Libkath's lair was near the arena in Mos Espa. He then found the Theed cruiser and the stolen weapons as well as Libkath (in the flesh) and the streed kids. Boba threw a brick at Libkath's head and stunned him. Libkath ended up grabbing hold of Boba. Durge appeared and threatened Libkath, shooting him with his blaster. Boba escaped using his rocket pack, grabbing Libkath's hat in the process. Durge shot at Libkath's droids and ended up exploding the place because of the combustable weapons in the crates surrounding them. Boba and the rest of the children escaped. Ygabba went with Boba.

Boba took Gilramos Likath's hat to Jabba. Jabba paid him more than enough to outfit Slave 1. Boba then went to eat and say Gab'borah again. Ygabba was his daughter and they reunited after a long time apart. Boba is now working for Jabba the Hutt awaiting his next job.

Outcome

Boba fights with Durge (and survives). He successfully captures his first bounty of which is likely the first of many for Jabba. Gilramos Libkath is killed. Gab'barah and his daughter Ygabba were reunited. The children under Libkath's control were freed.

The First Battle of Kamino

Key Characters

Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto, Sayn Ta, a Kaminoan saboteur

Setting the Stage

Months after the Battle of Geonosis, the Republic clone troopers have begun training on Kamino under their new Jedi generals. When General Kit Fisto enters the training-facilities, he finds General Aalya Secura and a Kaminoan over a group of death clone troopers. The Kaminoan informs Fisto that the dead soldiers were infected with a deadly nano-virus that appears to move with lightning speed. The virus seems to have been engineered with the clone troopers in mind. For it to effect anyone other than a clone, it would need to be injected directly into the bloodstream. Because the troopers are genetically identical to one another, the virus is able to spread amongst them quickly and with little effort. Secura asks herself who would be capable of doing such a thing, and the Kaminoan informs her that nano-virus technology is very new and that until recently it was strictly theoretical. So whoever is responsible is extremely skilled. The Kaminoan suggests that Secura talks with the master cloner Sayn Ta. Fisto orders the Kaminoan to lock down the entire training facility and quarantine the dead troopers.

The Battle

On their way to Sayn Ta, Kit Fisto mentions that if they do not stop this here and now, the Republic will be defenseless against the separatists. In the central cloning lab, Sayn Ta is devastated by the news. She runs through the data collected so far from the dead bodies, and mentions that she should be able to synthesize a pure strain of the virus. Once she has that, creating a vaccine will be simple. She goes to work at once, and Secura and Fisto leave her to help with the quarantine. When they walk in a corridor outside the cloning lab, the Jedi generals hear a cry, and hurry back to the lab only to find Sayn Ta dead, injected with the deadly virus. Suddenly, Fisto has an idea of who might be responsible.

Outside a landing platform, a Kaminoan orders a few super battle droids to follow him towards a small starfighter. Fisto and Secura run onto the landing platform to stop the Kaminoan, and Fisto asks why she did what she has done. The Kaminoan replies that for years she toiled under Sayn Ta, who, according to her, took credit for her accomplishments. And with the credits the separatists have paid her, she will finally be able to make a name for herself. Then, the Kaminoan orders the super battle droids to destroy the Jedi, and a fierce fight in the rain ensues. As the Kaminoan boards the starfighter, a super battle droid grabs Secura and pulls her off the landing platform into the sea. She calls out for Kit Fisto, who manages to down the starfighter by throwing his lightsaber at it, as she is drawn under water. The Jedi manages to release her from the battle droid's grip and, amphibious as he is, presses his lips on Secura's mouth to give her some air. When Aayla Secura climbs onto the landing platform, she is grabbed by the Kaminoan who holds a dart-pistol containing the nano-virus to her arm. Just as she is about to pull the trigger, Secura uses her Jedi abilities to slip away. As a result, the Kaminoan accidentally injects herself, releasing the deadly virus into his bloodstream. She dies instantly. Aayla Secura picks up the dart-pistol, mentioning that they now have a pure sample of the virus. She stands up to thank General Kit Fisto for saving her. Fisto laughs, telling her that it was his pleasure!

Outcome

The Kaminoan saboteur is killed and his plan to infect the clone army with the nano-virus is foiled by Aayla Secura and Kit Fisto.

The Second Battle of Kamino

Key Characters

Aayla Secura, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Tsui Choi, Kossex, Quinlan Vos, Oppo Rancisis, Lama Su, Shaak Ti, "Alpha", Argente Passel, Commander Merai, Adi Gallia, Mace Windu, Count Dooku, Darth Sidious

The Battle

Part 1 : "Brothers in Arms"

Anakin has a vision of Obi-Wan being shot down into the waters during the forthcoming battle.  Obi-wan tells him not to trust visions of the future and to stay focused on the here and now.  Inside, Obi-Wan briefs the assembled Jedi as he's been chosen to lead the mission there due to his familiarity with Kamino. Quinlan and Rancisis are present via hologram. Rancisis details the plan that their fleet is one jump away, so as not to hint to the Separatists that its a trap. Tipoca City's energy shield will protect them from energy weapons but not ground troops.

Since the Confederacy expects some defense, the Jedi assembled will be the main line of defense. Obi-Wan mentions that Sienar is developing fighters for the clones, but they're not ready yet, so Jedi Starfighters will be the main force.  Master Tsui Choi and Aayla will lead the flight (Blue Squadron) to intercept the fighters, Obi-Wan will lead a second (Red Squadron) to defend the facility. The others will supervise ground defenses.

After they are dismissed, Obi-Wan has Anakin stay behind, saying that Anakin has seemed distracted lately, and if there's anything he'd like to share with him. We see Anakin's thoughts of Qui-Gon, his mother's death, the Tusken slaughter, Dooku and his marriage. Anakin says there's nothing. Quinlan and Obi-Wan then have a conversation about Kenobi's Padawan problems. Obi-Wan mentions how Qui-Gon entrusted Anakin to him, but he never really chose Anakin as his Padawan. Quinlan replies that maybe it's time he did.

Elsewhere, Anakin is frustrated that he can't fix this one small droid, as Aayla joins him. He mentions how he thinks better when his hands are busy.  Aayla replies that its a form of moving meditation--she does it too. She suggests that perhaps the problem is he is trying too hard.  She gives the droid a small whack and it activates. "Old mechanics trick," she says.  "The secret is to know when a thing is fixed and to leave it alone." Then the alarm sounds.  Droid fighters and troop landers emerge from a Trade Federation battleship as the Jedi fighters deploy. The two forces engage one another. Master Kossex takes care of a fighter on Anakin's tail, but is killed by another fighter.

As Obi-Wan goes after a troop convoy, he takes fire and crashes as he did in Anakin's vision. His ship afloat the ocean, Obi-Wan emerges from the cockpit and deflects droid fighter lasers with his lightsaber.  Anakin swoops in and clears the area, but his fighter is attacked by a huge green sea monster. He manages to jump out of the fighter before being devoured.  "Why is it, my Padawan, that every time you rescue me, you wind up needing rescuing yourself?" They defend against the Opie Sea Killer-like flying killer fish. Obi-Wan observes that now the battle will continue without them and attempts to have a moment to speak with Anakin, as a Kaminoan emerges from the water atop a flying whale.  He mentions the fleet has arrived, and the two Jedi board the whale and head back to the city to rejoin the fight.

Part 2 : "Jango's Legacy"

Droids pour out of the troop carrier, taking down clone troopers.  Cargo platform C0-22 is captured. Security sector six is overrun and 2 droidekas stand among the bodies of clone troopers. The central armory is invaded and level nine is lost. Lama Su reports this info to Shaak Ti, and then unveils the ARC troopers to her, Advanced Recon Troopers. Trained by Jango himself, kept in stasis tubes due to their unpredictable nature, he releases them.

A circle of clone troopers, with clone children at the center, begin to fall to advancing droids surrounding them, as three ARC troopers deploy, taking down all of the droids. A clone child says "you saved us." But an ARC trooper tells him, "You could have saved yourselves, your not defenseless."

Droidekas arrive, killing two of the ARC troopers. Shaak Ti arrives and helps overwhelm the droidekas. Afterwards, Lama Su informs the ARC trooper that the prime clone is dead due to the compromising of the cloning facility. He tells Lama Su to evacuate the second generation and that he'll protect the third.  Shaak Ti accompanies him. She uses a Force shove to knock a squad of battle droids off a catwalk. The ARC trooper uses a reverse-polarity grenade to overload their circuits, but it also disrupts his helmet's sensors. More droids arrive, but are cut down by some friends: Anakin and Obi-wan.

They make their way across the only entrance to the third generation's lab--a long open-view tunnel underwater. A large group of droids follow them. The ARC trooper begins to set the self-destruct per Jango's orders. "We can't let the clones fall into the wrong hands. They grow up loyal to the Republic or they don't grow up at all."  Shaak Ti says there must be another way. The ARC trooper then suggests they use the Force to destroy the tunnel and flood it. They do so, and use the Force to hold back the water. The Jedi then move debris to block off the entrance.

The ARC trooper deactivates the self-destruct. Shaak Ti thanks the trooper for saving the clones. He says, "Hnh. You're welcome. But I didn't do it for you. I was just following Jango's orders."

Part 3 : "No End in Sight"

It starts out on, apparently, Mon Calamari, where the Separatist Mon Cal commander, Merai, is contacted by Passel Argente of the Corporate Alliance, who is asking him to basically risk everything on this battle. Passel apparently has info on the Kamino city shields. He won't reveal his source, but says if they do this, one strike will wipe out the Clone Army.  With no army, there's no Clone War. Merai says, "You honor me, Duke. I'm just glad to have the chance to aid the cause of freedom in the galaxy."

There's a space battle above Kamino. Merai diverts the droid squadrons to their locations and begins deploying amphibious fighter squadrons for attack. He wants their forces to be directly over the cloning facility when the shield goes down.

His bridge team advises that they are losing and that they should retreat.  Merai reminds them that they have more droids than they do Jedi and that if they don't shut down Kamino, the Republic will have a limitless supply of troops. Merai takes his personal amphibious fighter, the Shark, down to the surface. He thinks, "What were they thinking, defending a water world with ships that can't submerge?" Then he discovers that the Kaminoans must have tricked them. There is no shield power source underwater as they were led to believe. He emerges from the water and attempts to bring down the shield himself as two Acclamators open fire on him from just above the sea. Crossfire from the Jedi starfighters damages his ship.

Merai's bridge crew then receive the transmission: "It wasn't meant to end like this..." He then orders the retreat. They recall all their fighters and ships and the battleship begins to prepare for a hyperspace jump. They also detect that Merai has engaged his ship's self destruct. The battleship takes off into hyperspace and Merai heads for the cluster of orbiting Jedi stardighter hyperdrive rings. Adi Gallia detects his intentions and the Jedi pull out of the area as his ship explodes.

Later on, Mace Windu speaks to Yoda via hologram. He mentions that Adi was too hard on herself for not suspecting Merai's intentions sooner. Mace is unsatisfied also.  He knew that Merai was a smart solider and wondered why would he plan such an ill-fated attack.

Elsewhere, Dooku converses with Darth Sidious. Dooku mentions it was a shame about Merai and that he was talented. Sidious says there are others who could be more easily turned to their purposes. It's a delicate game they play, a precise balance. Now that balance has been restored, the Separatist's advantage lies dead in the water. With Merai dead and Kamino still operational, this Clone War will not end soon.

Outcome

Many clones die, the Mon Calamarians side with the CIS, Commander Merai dies, Kossex is killed, and Kamino is successfully defended.
