Setting the Stage
The Republic discovered that the Confederacy and the Geonosians had set up a droid factory on Zaadja. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and the young Jedi woman named Tohno were sent to Zaadja along with a large army of clones. The plan was for Tohno to sneak in, plant explosive charges in the base, and sneak out. Meanwhile the Republic army would march toward the base and distract the enemy but not engage them. Anakin disapproved of the plan because he didn’t think Tohno should have risked her life that way.
The Battle
Tohno snuck into the Confederacy base. Scattered in one of the hallways were the dead bodies of several Mandalorians. It’s not known how or why the Mandalorians there had been killed. In the next room Tohno encountered a couple of Geonosians who she quickly dispatched. Meanwhile Anakin and Obi-Wan were leading the Republic army toward the base. The Confederacy army came out to meet them. Inside the base, Tohno finally found the generator room where the charges needed to be planted. However before she could do anything, a Geonosian spotted her and alerted the entire base to her presence. She quickly transmitted a message to Obi-Wan and Anakin telling them that she would probably not make it out alive. Anakin, who had disapproved of the mission all along, determined to save her. He got in a Republic Gunship and flew toward the base. But Tohno told Anakin to go back, to honor her sacrifice, and to stick to his mission of distracting the CIS forces without engaging them. Reluctantly, Anakin turned the ship around and went back. Meanwhile Geonosian warriors were overwhelming Tohno. Knowing that she was about to die, Tohno threw her lightsaber at her backpack, which she had left on the other side of the room. The lightsaber struck the charges in Tohno’s backpack. Tohno closed her eyes peacefully as the entire base went up in a huge explosion. The explosion was so big that it destroyed the whole base, a Trade Federation Core Ship parked near it, and the entire Confederacy army that had been marching out to meet the Republic. The factory had been destroyed, but Anakin couldn’t help feeling that he had somehow failed.
Outcome
The Confederacy base on Zaadja is destroyed. The Jedi Tohno died. A group of Mandalorians was killed by the Confederacy.
