The Battle of Jabiim continued...

Key Characters

Anakin Skywalker, Alto Stratus, Leska, Gillmunn, Norcuna, Kass Tod, Aubrie Wyn, Zule Xiss, Mak Lotor, Elora Sund, Tae Diath, Windo "Warble" Nend, Vaabesh, The Nimbus Commandos...

The Battle - Part 2: Stormchasers

Alto Stratus overtakes the Republic Army near Choal and beheads the Twi'lek Jedi General Norcuna who was in command.

Leska and Gillmunn discuss taking the Razor Coast to capture Stratus. Leska decides to send the Padawans with the resupply convoy instead of into battle.

Anakin and a group of Padawans known as "The Padawan Pack" take out a group of battle droids. These Padawans include Aubrie Wyn (Human female), Elora Sund (Sullistan female), Kass Tod (Zabrak female), Mak Lotor (Human male), Tae Diath (Human male), Vaabesh (Gand), Windo "Warble" Nend (Aqualish), and Zule Xiss (Falleen female). Anakin and Aubrie team-up to take supplies to Cobalt Station. Elora and Tae team-up and discuss Anakin's chaotic thoughts and recklessness since Tae is a telepath (he can read minds). Zule tells Warble and Vaabesh how she lost her arm to Asajj Ventress 3 months after the Battle of Geonosis on Ohma-D'un. Kass and Mak share a romantic moment together while en route to Cobalt Station.

Stratus plots to attack the Padawan's convoy to Cobalt Station with the Nimbus Commandos. A mine field was set up in the convoy's path and several of the walkers were destroyed. A battle breaks between the "Padawan Pack," some clone troopers and the Nimbus Commandos with Stratus leading the charge. Anakin clears out a large group of mines killing several Nimbus in the process. Elora steals a pair of repulsor boots from a fallen Nimbus Commando and uses them against the opposition. Mak creates an earthquake to take out more of the enemy and passes out. Anakin confronts Stratus, but an explosion separates them. He is saved by Vaabesh and an AT-AT cleans up the rest of the enemy.

Significance: The Republic defeated the Separatists on the Razor Coast, but suffered heavy losses. The "Padawan Pack" successfully thwarted Alto's ambush. Stratus managed to elude capture and plans to attack Cobalt Station next.

The Battle - Part 3: Lightening Rods

General Leska and a battalion of clone troopers continue fighting the Separatists on Jabiim when Leska is shot and killed by blaster fire.

The sun comes out for the first time in 37 days on Jabiim as the "Padawan Pack" discuss what to do next. Vaabesh spots an armada of Separatists ships. The ships land where Alto Stratus and his Nimbus Commandos are stationed. Off walks a deadly group of assassin droids and they go with Stratus to finish the war.

Captain Gillmunn holos in to Cobalt Station where the Padawans are and gives them loads of bad news. He tells them that Stratus has an army ten thousand strong, a mass evacuation is in effect, the Padawans are the only standing between Stratus and the evac zone, and that they have no leader since Leska is missing. He then gets cut off and the signal is lost.

The Padawans plan to help the evacuation, but they all know it's suicide. They prepare for the battle and leave out when Anakin gets a holo from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Palpatine tells Anakin that he must help with the evacuation and leave the current mission to the other Padawans. Anakin agrees reluctantly because he has never let Palpatine down before. Aubrie then gives Anakin her dead master's holocron to take with him.

Stratus' army attacks! Tae Diath is killed soon after by the assassin droids. Elora dies from a psychic backlash because of her bond with Tae.

Warble sacrifices himself when he detonates a bomb to destroy some hailfire droids. Zule slips to the dark side, takes out a Nimbus Commando, and then is killed when an AT-AT explodes near by.

Mak and Kass have Alto Stratus cornered. Stratus injures Mak, but Kass strikes right back at Stratus. Then a hailfire droid sends missles to blow up Mak and Kass. They die together.

Vaabesh and Aubrie are together on the battlefield. Vaabesh's containment suit got breached and he dies. Aubrie takes Vaabesh's lightsaber and goes after Stratus. She makes short work of a Nimbus Commando and attacks Stratus. She stabs him with both lightsabers, but Stratus shots her in the chest with his blaster at the same time. They both die.

Significance: Leska, Aubrie, Elora, Tae, Mak, Kass, Vaabesh, Warble, and Zule are killed. Alto Stratus is killed. Many clones die. Anakin escapes to help with the planetary evacuation.

The Battle - Part 4: Floodgates

Anakin rides on a swoop bike to the evacauation site. He gets attacked by some assasin droids but takes them out with his lightsaber. His swoop is destroyed in the process.

Anakin meets with Gillmunn (who is starting to look remarkably like Alto Stratus) on Monsoon Mesa and informs the captain that a transport is on the way. The transport (which looks a lot like the Tative IV) lands and an officer with an Imperial uniform steps off to greet Skywalker. The "Imperial" officer tells Anakin and Gillmunn that only one transport arrived because that was all the Republic could spare. Anakin tells Gillmunn that the trained clone troopers must go ahead of Gillmunn and his men. Gillmunn strikes Anakin in the kisser and says to the young Jedi, "Blast you for proving Stratus right!" Anakin tells Gillmunn that he and his men have to stay behind on their home planet of Jabiim. Gillmunn is pissed and tells Anakin that the Republic are abandoning them and he tries to commandeer the transport ship. Anakin Force-chokes Gillman and "makes" him and his men stand down. Gillmunn vows to never forget the Republic's betrayal!

Final Outcome

Anakin and the clone troopers lift off in a transport ship and gives Chacellor Palpatine a report on the battle of Jabiim: the Republic and everyone else lost. Gillmunn and his troops are left on the rain-soaked, battle-torn Jabiim to rot! Anakin still believes Obi-Wan to be dead.

The Mission to New Holstice

Key Characters

Anakin Skywaker, A'Sharad Hett, Bhat Jul, Barriss Offee, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Sora Mobari, Asajj Ventress, Obi-Wan Kenobi

Setting the Stage

Anakin Skywalker arrives to New Holstice onboard a Republic cruiser (read: star destroyer) two days after the end of the battle of Jabiim. He is greeted by a Kaminoan and a medical droid directs him to the closest sickbay.

The Mission

There Anakin meets Jedi Master A'Sharad Hett and a Nikto Jedi named Bhat Jul. Hett and Bhat just came from a battle on Metalorn in which the Republic was successful.

Hett explains to Anakin the situation in the sickbay and speaks of Barriss Offee's hard work in healing the wounded. A'Sharad sends Bhat off to retrieve something. They then come to Jedi Master Sora Mobari's bedside. Hett tells of how Mobari was betrayed by her Padawan while they were attacking some Ithorian terrorists (ed. aren't they supposed to be peaceful?). Anakin tries to "save" Mobari by Force-choking her - a skill he learned how to do on Jabiim. Hett is displeased.

Bhat returns and Hett tells Anakin about a memorial that the people of New Holstice created to honor all the Jedi killed since the birth of the Republic: Memory Moths. Each moth represents one Jedi. Anakin notices that the moths are whispering. Hett tells Anakin that the "whisper" is the words spoken right before a moth is released. Anakin then released moths for each Jedi in the "Padawan Pack" and for his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Suddenly, Ki-Adi-Mundi arrives and instructs Anakin, Hett, and Bhat to accompany him to Aargonar, where a new front has opened up.

Elsewhere, Asajj Ventress is holding Obi-Wan captive and tells him that all the Padawans on Jabiim are dead, including Anakin! She then says, "Welcome to your 'dark side' Obi-Wan Kenobi..."

Outcome

Anakin leans about Memory Moths and memorializes the "Padawan Pack" and Obi-Wan. Ki-Adi-Mundi, Anakin, A'Sharad Hett, and Bhat Jul leave for Aargonar. Asajj Ventress holds Obi-Wan captive in her castle.

The Battle of Aargonar

Key Characters

A'Sharad Hett, Bhat Jul, Anakin Skywalker, Bultar Swan, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Clone Troopers, Separatist Soldiers

Setting the Stage

Just days after the battle of Jabiim ended, A'Sharad Hett, Bhat Jul and Anakin Skywalker were on the planet New Holstice, where Ki-Adi-Mundi told them that a new front opened up on the planet Aargonar. Arriving on the desert planet, they began fighting over enemy lines.

The Battle

A'Sharad Hett and Ki-Adi-Mundi directed the battle from the air in Republic Gunships. Anakin and Bhat fought in the ground battle. Hett's ship was shot down by enemy fire and he was forced to fight on the ground with the two Jedi Padawans. Hett's Padawan, Bhat Jul, was seriously wounded in the fighting along with many of the clone troopers under them. Bhat died as they escaped, in Anakin's arms. Anakin and Hett argued for a short while over leaving Jul's body behind, and Hett told Anakin that as they were both from Tatooine, they both knew how to survive in the desert, but as a Tusken, he knew things that Anakin did not.

Meanwhile, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Bultar Swan learned that Hett's gunship had been shot down, and that his clones were lost. Their own base was about to be overrun, but the incoming sandstorm would be slowing the enemy forces enough. Ki-Adi-Mundi ordered the forces in the base to hold, fearing another disaster like Jabiim.

Anakin and A'Sharad found a cave in which they could hide, and they got out of the storm. The two talked a bit, and Anakin told A'Sharad that he had no use for Tuskens, while A'Sharad told him that he should put aside his prejudgments. They were then attacked by a Sarlacc's nest, which in turn was attacked by a Gourka Dragon, allowing them to escape.

Getting out of the tunnels, they found an enemy outpost, and they entered the base. There, they heard that the Republic was pinned down and that there was little hope for their forces. In the base, they found a damaged transport, which Anakin thought that he could fix. The only problem was that he needed power cells, enough to drain a pair of lightsabers. Hett gave Anakin his own and his fallen Padawan's, and went to forge his own weapon.

Hours passed by and the repairs went slower than he hoped, and Anakin grew frustrated, and began to get angry, remembering the death of Bhat, then his mother. He and Hett were then attacked by Separatist soldiers, but Anakin felt as if he was fighting the Tuskan raiders again in his mind. In his anger, he killed all that approached, and nearly A'Sharad as he returned. He had heard the entire story of how Anakin vented his rage on the Tuskans in his attack, and reasoned with him. He told him that if he had to, he would take off his mask and show his true face if it would help. He did, and revealed himself to be human. Anakin finished his repairs of the ship, and they departed. As they did so, the Republic military was fighting for it's life. Anakin went through the tunnel they had gone through before, getting the dragon to follow them, and into battle. They were hit and went down, where they fought side by side against the droid soldiers. Anakin finally realized his mistakes and fought with his fellow Jedi.

The battle's tide was turned, and the command personnel reunited, happy that they had all survived. Anakin and Hett talked once more, Hett saying that he would keep his secret of Anakin's murders and they then left.

Outcome

The battle was won, pushing back the Separatist lines. Anakin had to confront what he had done on Tatooine, and did not really learn from it, despite Hett's teachings. Bhat Jul and numerous clones die in the battle.

The Battle of Parcelus Minor

Key Characters

Republic and Confederacy Forces

Setting the Stage

Both government's forces met on the planet Parcelus Minor, probably because it fell in both lines of the war. Parcelus Minor had once been part of the Confederation, but changed its mind and went over to the Republic side

The Battle

The Clone forces and Separatist droids landed on planet and engaged. The planet was described as one of the worst planets to fight on. It's primarily a swampy planet, with scattered villages that spend much of their time fighting back the advance of the forest. The Republic was unable to bring down any of their heavy weapons and walkers, and the Republic Intelligence had underestimated the amount of Confederation droids by nearly a tenfold.

Meanwhile, up in space, a massive Confederation attack force swept into the system just after the Republic landed, forcing the Republic to fight in space and on planet. During the battle, the Confederation commander began to bombard the planet, setting the swamps on fire. The trees extruded a resin that was highly flamable, turning the entire planet into a firestorm, decimating the Republic clones and Droids.

Outcome

Weeks after the battle, the planet was still on fire. The Republic had lost nearly ninety percent of their forces on planet, a crushing loss. The planet will probably become one of the many decimated during the clone wars.
