The Battle of Geonosis

Setting the Stage

A bounty hunter named Zam Wesell attempted to assassinate senator Padmé Amidala. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker caught her but before she could tell who hired her she was shot by a Kamino saber dart. When Kenobi found out where the dart came from, he went to Kamino to investigate. There he discovered a clone army being built for the Republic, which supposedly had been ordered by Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas ten years ago. Records show; however, that he died before that. Obi Wan questioned the bounty hunter who was the clones template-Jango Fett.  Jango who has a ten tear old son Boba (really an unaltered clone of himself) claimed that a man called Tyranus recruited him. Upon contacting Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda Obi-Wan apprehend to capture Jango. This led to a fierce battle both planet side and in space. Kenobi, in a new Jedi Starfighter, followed Jango in his ship, Slave 1, to Geonosis. On the planet, Obi-Wan discovered a large concentration of Trade Federation ships, the production of huge droid army, and Separatist leaders: former Jedi, Count Dooku, Trade Federation Viceroy, Nute Gunray, and members of the Techno Union, and the Banking Clan. After transmitting a message to Coruscant via Anakin, Obi-Wan was captured.

The Battle

After retransmitting the message from Tatooine, Anakin went to rescue Obi-Wan. Padmé was with him because he had been on Naboo protecting her until he decided to find his mother on Tatooine.  He ended up finding his mom just in time to watch her die in his arms. He then slew the Tusken Raiders who had been holding her prisoner. Upon arriving on Geonosis, Anakin and Padmé fought their way through the the droid foundries only to be captured. C-3PO (Threepio) and R2-D2 (Artoo) were also with them. Artoo evaded capture. Threepio was not captured, but his head wound up on a battle droid body and vice versa.

Anakin, Padmé, and Obi-Wan had their hands tied to pillars in the Geonosis arena. Three vicious beasts; a reek, nexu, and aklay, were sent out to kill them. With cunning and a little help from the Force, they defeated the beasts. The nexu was killed, the aklay was hurt and the three of them were riding the reek.  Just then, a group of destroyer droids surrounded them.

In the mean time, Mace Windu and Luminara Unduli cleared the way for several hundred Jedi to land. Using a Republic TX-130 Fighter Tank, they escorted the Knights to the arena. They snuck in and Mace Windu snuck up to the box where the leaders were gathered. Boba and Jango Fett were there as well as Count Dooku and Nute Gunray, who had been anxious for Padmé to die. Mace pulled his lightsaber on Jango and told Dooku that the party was over. At that moment, Dooku gave the signal and thousands of battle droids came pouring out from all sides. Fett used his flamethrower to knock Mace off the edge and down into the arena. A fierce battle of Jedi verses droid ensued.

A female Jedi named Tu'ala, Padawan of Jedi Master Zuth, who died a while before the Battle of Geonosis, fought heroically during the battle. As she is dying herself after having fought off a few destroyer droids who were after Skywalker and Kenobi, Tu'ala finally understands her master's lessons about 'sacrificing yourself for another.' Her master tried to teach her that 'it isn't that the Force loves you less than other creatures. It is that you love other creatures more.' Her last words before becoming one with the Force were, 'I understand...'

Later in the battle, Jango decided to get into the action. Fett managed to kill the reek, and then took on Master Windu. However, he wound up getting decapitated by the powerful Jedi Master.  Ten year old Boba looked on in horror. Many Jedi were killed during the battle, and Artoo, with a little help from Kit Fisto and another Jedi, put Threepio back together.

At some point in the battle, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Plo Koon, and several other Jedi tried to shut down the Droid Control Center to disable the droid army much like was done in the Battle of Naboo. However, the droids were operating on an independent system so this plan did not work. The Jedi strike team was captured and brought back to join the rest of the Jedi survivors.

Many Jedi die including a young female Jedi named Sarrissa Jeng and a male named Joclad Danva. The Jedi found themselves surrounded on all sides by battle droids. Dooku told the droids to cease fire. He asked the Jedi to surrender, but Mace refused.

Out from the sky came Republic Gunships filled with clone troopers. Leading them was none other than Master Yoda.  He had gone to Kamino to inspect the army. Now he arrived with tons of what seemed to be prequel versions of Star Destroyers, AT-ATs, AT-STs, and storm troopers. They were really clone troopers, Republic Gunships, AT-TEs, SPHA-Ts, and other vehicles thrown in with the troops by the Kaminoans. All the Jedi left in the arena were rescued and the droids there were destroyed. As they were leaving, Yoda and Mace's Gunship becomes surrounded by CIS droid ships. The clone troopers display the power of the Republic Gunship by destroying the ships using the Gunship's different array of weaponry. Yoda is impressed with the ship's power, but states that "Yes...very powerful this ship is. Much destruction it has caused. The need for these machines of war can only be the sign of a perilous future."

As Yoda and Mace watch, the gunship that Jedi Masters Eeth Koth and Tarados Gon were traveling in is shot down. The two Jedi Masters die in the explosion.

A massive ground battle followed. With the Jedi giving directions to the clones, they were able to stop most of the Trade Federation and Techno Union Starships from taking off.  Sev'rance Tann, one of Dooku's generals that happens to use a lightsaber and his fighting style, helped Dooku escape the battle (possibly to the speeder). On the way there, she encountered two Jedi; Master Echuu Shen-Jon and his Padawan learner, Stam Reath. Stam was one of the Jedi sent to secure the rescue of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Senator Amidala. Echuu was once Mace Windu's Padawan learner and close friend. Echuu landed on the Geonosis battlefield with a small platoon of clone troopers and is joined by Ki-Adi-Mundi, Plo Koon, and other Jedi. Along with other armies of the Republic, Echuu and his team destroyed the Trade Federation Battleship Cores. After the Cores were destroyed, Windu ordered Echuu to proceed north of the battlefield. After a short sight of Dooku, Stam was eager to chase him, but Tann murdered him. Stam apologizes to Echuu for his lack of patience, but Echuu blames himself. Echuu was enraged by this, thus starting him down the path to the dark side of the Force.

During the ground battle, Anakin, Obi-wan, and Padmé were in a Republic Gunship with a few clones. They spied Count Dooku leaving in a speeder. He was being escorted by two Geonosian starfighters. Their Gunship was out of missiles after destroying a Techno Union ship, but they followed anyway. The Geonosian fighters circled around, hammering the Gunship. Padmé fell out and Anakin ordered them to stop and get her. Kenobi convinced him to let them keep following Dooku. They followed to a large hanger. Anakin charged at the Count brandishing his lightsaber. Dooku knocked him into a corner with Force Lightning. Obi-Wan fought the Count furiously, but was easily defeated. His lightsaber was lying next to him and Dooku was about to administer the killing blow when Anakin jumped up. Kenobi used the Force to throw his own lightsaber to Anakin giving him two blades. Dooku eventually beat him, disarming one blade then cutting off the arm in which Skywalker held the other. In walks Yoda. Yoda catches Dooku's Force Lightning, easily shoves aside the rocks thrown at him, then shows Dooku who the sword master really is. Dooku uses the Force to throw a pillar at Anakin and Obi-Wan. While Yoda is pushing it away Dooku escapes. Yoda senses that his former Padawan is using the dark side.

As Dooku escapes Geonosis in his Solar Sailer, he reflects on lightsaber instruction he received from his former master. He thinks to himself how he used those same teachings to defeat Anakin and Obi-Wan in lightsaber battle. He expresses how he expected more from Obi-Wan, being that he was Qui-Gon Jinn's former Padawan, but was surprised by young Skywalker's strength in the Force. He feels that Anakin's temper and pure anger were his undoing. One day Dooku will show Yoda that he is the master now and he plans to teach he Jedi a lesson of his own. Then he continues on to Coruscant to tell his master, Darth Sidious, the good news. The war has started.

During most of the battle, Mace Windu fought from a Republic TX-130 Fighter Tank. After destroying several Techno Union Starships from a Republic Gunship, Mace used the Tank to protect the Self Propelled Heavy Artillery - Turbolaser walkers while they took out the Trade Federation Battleship Cores. When Mace discovered that Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Yoda were after Dooku he went to meet them. However, he was delayed by three nameless Dark Acolytes who were piloting their own customized Tanks. By the time Mace defeated them the battle was over.

Boba Fett buries his father on Geonosis. He then returns to Kamino long enough to find a book Jango left him that is to give him advice since his father is now dead. The book says to find Count Dooku, who Boba also knows as Tyranus. Aurra Sing, ruthless bounty hunter and former Jedi apprentice, delivers Boba to the Count, but steals Slave 1 from him.

Outcome

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is given emergency powers in the Senate and creates a Army of the Republic.  Many Jedi die including Coleman Trebor, Tu'ala, Stam Reath, Eeth Koth, Tarados Gon, and Sarrissa Jeng.  The Clone Wars begin.  Geonosis is taken by the Republic.  Dooku escapes with the Death Star plans to Coruscant.  Anakin marries Padmé.  Boba Fett becomes an orphan.  We find out that Yoda can kick some...

The Battle of Geonosis Part 2 (Adi Gallia's role)

Setting the Stage

Count Dooku makes a secret deal with Captain Cavik Toth, a human ally of the Trade Federation. Toth wants the resource-rich planet Karthakk.  Toth's enemy resistance so far is a Feeorin alien named Nym (from the prequel, Star Wars: Starfighter). Mace Windu requests Adi Gallia to travel to Karthakk in the prototype Jedi Starfighter (set before the Jedi Starfighters are approved) and provide Nym assistance.  Adi Gallia travels to the Ruby Nebula to meet up with Reti, and had to fight Trade Federation resistance. Adi and Reti then head to the Karthakk system and provided Nym back-up.  Nym did not approve, but accepted Adi's help. Jinkins was stealing codes for Space Station 1138, a prison platform that held the rest of the Lok Resistance prisoners. The rest of Nym's crew escaped in their starfighters.

Nym, Jinkins, and Adi  then attack the space defenses, providing cover for the dropships to extract the Resistance members.

Shortly after, Nym and Adi return back to the Karthakk system on the Maramere Islands. Nym and Adi escorted demolition boats to dismantle the Trade Federation Sensor Station.

Toth tests out Hex weapons (chemical bombs) via Hex Deployers on a peaceful resort on Karthakk. Adi and Reti head to that resort to destroy the missiles and Saboath Fighters. Hex Bombers and two Hex Deployers were also appearing.  Adi reports the battle to Windu, and gives Mace the approval of the Jedi Starfighter. Adi remains on the Karthakk system for the time being (until she gets called once or twice to the Jedi Council on hearing the report about the assassination of Senator Amidala).

Meanwhile, Nym and Jinkins raid a massive Trade Federation complex at the top of Mount Merakan. Nym destroys as much freighters as he can, and destroys the rest of the facility into rubble.

Adi and Nym regroup and they head for the planet Nod Kartha. Nym, Adi, and the Resistance destroy the planetary defenses and had a slight encounter with Jango Fett (who was escaping at the time). Once on the planet's surface, Nym decides to go with his ground commandoes while Adi stays in the air to guide them to blow up the shield bunkers protecting the Trihexalon factory. Once setting the last charge, Nym and his commandoes were overrun by Trade Federation droids and Techno Union super battle droids, but Adi showed up and held off the droids for the team to escape. Adi then leaves and the bunker blows up. By daytime, Nym goes back to his Havoc Bomber, and then destroys the core of the facility, which greatly reduced the Hex Weapons threat.

Adi and Nym go their separate ways. Adi received the message from Windu that Obi-Wan was captured on Geonosis. Nym tells Adi to go on. Nym and the Resistance recover parts to an Orbital Defense Cannon to retake Lok.

Adi meets with her former Padawan, Siri Tachi, and sees a Republic Troop Carrier. Adi, Siri, and two Jedi Starfighters were escorting the Troop Carrier through an asteroid field en route to Geonosis. Adi and Siri encounter Trade Federation and Geonosian Fighter resistance. Siri tells Adi about the Obi-Wan's capture. Adi and Siri successfully entered Geonosis with the Troop Carrier still active.

Nym and his crew assemble the Orbital Cannon on the Khons moon. Nym deals with the Trade Federation resistance while the crew builds the Orbital Cannon. The Cannon works, and it is a key element to regain Lok.

The Battle

Adi and Siri escort a group of clone troopers to destroy a Geonosian military infrastructure vital to the Conferacy. Adi and Siri fought off the battle droids, and Confederacy mechs. Once the clone troopers planted the explosives and destroyed the building,  a Trade Federation Core begins escaping. With the help of the Republic Gunships, Adi succeeds in destroying the core.  Adi and Siri's wing mates during the battle included A'Sharad Hett, Bant Eerin, Jaizen Suel, Rana, Ranik Solusar and The Dark Woman.  Saesee Tiin joins in later on.

Nym and his crew enter the orbit, with an unexpected help from Vana Sage (from Starfighter), and destroyed all of the Trade Federation buildings (with the help of the Orbital Cannon). Nym sees Toth, but Toth escapes to Geonosis. Nym destroys Lieutenant Bella's starfighter. Although the Resistance had retaken Lok, the battle is not finished. Nym desperately brings cruisers with him, and leaves Lok to help Adi on Geonosis.

Adi is outside of Geonosis, protecting the planet from the remaining Hex threats. Nym manages to tell Adi about Toth's arrival. Meanwhile, Windu needs the Jedi's help (most of Adi's wingmen). Adi lets Windu order them back. Siri decides to stay with Adi, and destroyed all of the Hex Missiles before it hits the ground troops on Geonosis. Nym arrives, and helps Adi destroy the Saboath Cruisers. Toth escapes via his starfighter, and fights Adi. With precise flying, Adi succeeds in destroying Toth's fighter, and wins the battle. Adi gets the situation report from Windu, regarding Dooku's escape and Anakin being wounded.

Adi meets up with Mace on Coruscant. Adi tells Windu that Nym deserves his thanks. Nym was offered a position as a defense commander of the Karthakk system, but declined to "keep his options open." Adi tells Windu that Nym will still be a valuable ally, and will see to it personally. Nym gets a transmission from Vana regarding Reti being MIA. Adi then accompanies Nym for the rest of his missions.

Outcome

Adi Gallia plays an important role in the battle along with her newfound ally, Nym.  Cavik Toth is killed.

The Mission to Bakura

Setting the Stage

Jedi Knights Tholme and Sora Bulq found Count Dooku at his base on Bakura.

The Mission

Tholme and Sora Bulq engage Count Dooku in a lightsaber duel. Dooku uses force lightning to incapacitate Sora Bulq.

Dooku and Tholme fight fiercely. Dooku’s blade cuts a gash above and below Tholme’s left eye.

Dooku asks Tholme to join him. Tholme refuses. Dooku uses the force to throw rocks at Tholme and buries him under them.

Outcome

Sora Bulq is captured by Count Dooku and will turn to the dark side. Tholme gets away, but now has a scar above and below his left eye.

The Mission to Corellia

Key Characters

Setting the Stage

A wayward scientist named Ratri Tane stole his project's critical files and the only working prototype of some very valuable circuitry. The Techno Union started this project in preparation for the war unbeknownst to Tane and other researchers. Per orders from Jedi Master Mace Windu, Aayla Secura and Ylenic It'kla were to travel to Corellia to find Tane. They were to keep the fact that they are Jedi a secret from all, including the rogue Corellian Jedi. Aboard the yacht, Flare, Aayla and Ylenic discussed the mission and Aayla’s ability to use the Force. Ylenic constantly reminded Aayla that she was in charge of the mission, not him. Aayla learned a lot from the wise Camaasi Jedi.

The Mission

Upon reaching Corellia, both Jedi sensed something was wrong. After telling two “commodities brokers” that they were looking to carry passengers off-planet in their yacht, the Jedi hoped Tane would come looking for them.

Inside the cantina called Homestar, a trio of Gotals that were also looking for Tane foiled this plan.  The Gotals spotted Tane at the same time as the Jedi. After Aayla accidentally Force pushed an annoying Toydarian called Lorfo, the Gotals were alerted and a fight broke out. When it was over, Rostek Horn of the Corellian Security Force approached the Jedi. He questioned the Jedi and urged them to leave the planet.

Aayla and Ylenic bumped into Lorfo on the way out of the cantina and he informed them that he knew whom the Gotals worked for. In exchange for a few credits, he led them to their hideout. The Jedi soon found out that Lorfo betrayed them to the two remaining Gotals (one met his end at Homestar) and a man called Tendir Blue who works for Count Dooku and the Separatists. Eventually, another fight broke out and the Gotals were defeated and Blue was knocked unconscious. In a strange twist, Tane was revealed to actually be Jedi Master Neeja Halcyon and Horn and Lorfo were all in on the scheme.

The group devised a plan to implant a memory Blue's mind, making him think he had the real data and prototype. This was designed to throw Dooku off if he got suspicious of Blue and the plans. He was urged to make a quick getaway by Lorfo as Aayla feigned an attempt to chase him. Blue was made to think Aayla apprehended Lorfo. Now Blue was transporting fake data and a fake prototype to Dooku and the Separatists.

Outcome

The Confederacy was foiled from obtaining Tane's information.
